Bristol, UK, 15th May 2026 – Zellis, the leading provider of AI‑enabled HR, Pay and Workforce Management software and services to UK and Ireland organisations, has been shortlisted in two headline categories at the Global Payroll Awards 2026: Payroll Software Supplier of the Year and Transformation Project of the Year.

Recognition for software excellence and real‑world transformation
This marks the third consecutive year that Zellis is shortlisted for Payroll Software Supplier of the Year, having won the award in each of the past two years. The recognition underscores Zellis’ sustained leadership in payroll innovation and the continued commitment of its team to delivering resilient, AI‑enabled payroll solutions for complex, regulated and high‑volume organisations – combining accuracy, confidence and scale with an exceptional user experience.
The Transformation Project of the Year nomination recognises Zellis’ work with a leading hospitality brand to deliver a major payroll modernisation project for a workforce of nearly 20,000 colleagues. The programme replaced a heavily manual, long-standing legacy payroll environment with a modern, cloud‑based, AI‑enabled solution, improving efficiency, resilience and visibility while protecting pay continuity throughout the transition. The transformation established a scalable operating model designed to reduce risk, support enterprise performance and enable sustained improvement across payroll and workforce operations.
Together, the two nominations highlight Zellis’ strength not just in building market-leading software, but as a trusted transformation partner for organisations navigating workforce complexity, increased compliance requirements, growth and change.
A sustained focus on customer value
The Global Payroll Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and impact across the international payroll community. Zellis’ dual shortlisting reflects its long-term investment in AI‑enabled platforms, integrated services and customer‑led innovation – all grounded in delivering measurable value for HR, payroll and finance teams.
Abigail Vaughan, CEO of Zellis commented:
“We’re extremely proud of what this recognition says about consistency and impact. Being shortlisted again for Payroll Software Supplier of the Year reflects the ongoing trust that organisations place in Zellis to run some of the most complex payrolls in the UK and Ireland – year after year.
The Transformation Project of the Year shortlisting celebrates the change our customers can achieve when payroll is treated as a strategic function rather than just a transactional process. The work we have done on this project is a great example of what transformation really means in a payroll context. It wasn’t about swapping one system for another, but about redefining how payroll operates day‑to‑day, giving teams earlier insight, stronger controls and far more confidence in the process. Seeing that work recognised reflects the scale of change achieved by both our teams and the partnership that made it possible.
I wish our team the very best of luck at Barcelona in June!”
The 2026 Global Payroll Awards will take place in Barcelona, Spain on the 4th of June and brings together industry leaders to celebrate those that are shaping the future of payroll through excellence, innovation and delivery.
