“Originally it would have been a very manual process. We had two separate systems for HR and for payroll, and they never spoke to each other.”

Before implementing Zellis HCM Cloud, HR and payroll data had to be transferred manually, creating delays for new starters and additional admin for the HR team.

“That onboarding journey wasn’t that great for somebody who was a new starter. Now, they get that welcome and the confirmation they need.”

Looking ahead, GB Railfreight plans to build on its success by exploring automation, AI, and total reward innovations, continuing to streamline HR processes and enhance the colleague experience from hire to retire.
