11 December 2019, LONDON – ResourceLink, the award-winning payroll and HR software from Zellis, received another accolade last week as it won the ‘Payroll and HR Software Product Award’ at The Rewards 2019.

Zellis was judged as the category winner by an extensive panel from across both the public and private sectors. This included advisors from EY and Deloitte, industry experts from the CIPP, payroll managers from major brands, and even competitor companies. In being selected for this award, Zellis was recognised for three key achievements:

  • Providing sector-leading, next generation payroll and HR software
  • Empowering employers and employees
  • Delivering customer satisfaction

The company has taken huge strides in the development of ResourceLink under Marko Perisic, who was appointed as Chief Products and Technology Officer in February 2019. Perisic has brought with him the experience of working as General Manager at Microsoft, where he and his teams built and scaled world-class SaaS software products across the Enterprise, Mid-Market and SMB segments. Perisic has helped Zellis to transform its product engineering culture, applying the same principles that Microsoft has adopted in its own process of transformation.

As a result many improvements and new capabilities have been added to ResourceLink, all geared towards delivering a modern employee experience for the digital age. This includes a transformation of the user interface to make it mobile friendly, as well as a plethora of new functionality that automates complex legislation such as National Minimum Wage compliance and CEO pay ratio reporting.

Perisic has also worked with his teams to design an exciting and ambitious product roadmap for ResourceLink, underpinned by advancements in the use of data analytics, AI and robotics to revolutionise the way customers experience their payroll and HR software.

Marko Perisic (above), Chief Products and Technology Officer at Zellis, commented: “A strong engineering culture – with teamwork and a growth mindset at its core – is critical to running a successful software company. Get that right, and we find that everything else falls into place. Given my background we are taking inspiration from Microsoft, one of the best known and most successful transformation stories in the industry.”

“I’m extremely proud of my team and colleagues for embracing a highly collaborative and agile approach to product engineering. This award is a great testament to what Zellis has achieved so far, and the best part is that our customers have so much more to look forward to.”

Zellis is already the market leader for HR and payroll software in the UK and Republic of Ireland, counting a third of the FTSE 100 as customers and paying five million people every month.
