Zellis, the UK and Ireland’s leading provider of HR solutions, has announced the appointment of Jacqui Summons to its board as a non-executive director.

Jacqui Summons, Chief People Officer at EMIS Health, is the first addition to Zellis’ board since the company launched with a new brand in January 2019. Prior to joining Zellis, Summons held Group HR Director roles, most recently at Intec and Clearswift, in addition to senior HR roles at Accenture HR Services, GlaxoSmithKline and Standard Chartered. Summons currently combines her role at Zellis with her Chief People Officer role at EMIS.

Jacqui brings an extensive range of HR and technology expertise which closely aligns with Zellis’ customer-focused strategy. She has held leadership positions in companies as both the recipient and supplier of Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, and has over three decades of specialist knowledge of the challenges businesses face every day, from Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) to wellbeing, talent management and digital employee experiences.

“We are thrilled to have someone of Jacqui’s calibre joining our board and are excited to benefit from her unique perspective and contributions,” said John Petter, CEO of Zellis. “As the largest specialist provider in our field for UK and Irish businesses, we are always looking to enhance our understanding of our customers, the challenges they face, and what they expect from their suppliers.”

Jacqui joins during an exciting period of evolution for Zellis. In just three years, Zellis has launched its award-winning, next-generation solution, Zellis HCM Cloud, embarked on a digital transformation project within its Managed Services division, and is introducing customers to an expanded range of solutions through Benefex, its specialist employee benefits and recognition arm. As non-executive director, Jacqui will sit on the group board, covering Zellis, Moorepay and Benefex.

“It was immediately clear to me how motivated and focused on customer success everyone at Zellis is,” said Jacqui. “I’m thrilled to be joining Zellis’ board, especially at a time when the power of effective HR and technology solutions in business has never been clearer.”

“Since the late eighties, I’ve seen many businesses push to improve and outsource HR and payroll, often without thinking enough about the employee experience,” continued Jacqui. “Zellis is uniquely positioned to be an exceptional provider because it understands the importance of that experience, while also leveraging the power of its technology for analytics, security and efficiency.”
