The Story

The University of Lincoln have a lengthy relationship with Zellis. The HR team wanted a long-term partner, not just a supplier. They selected Zellis as the company with which they felt they could have a ‘real relationship’.

The Uni is using ResourceLink to bring together HR, payroll, absence and training – along with data stored in spreadsheets, such as performance reviews. Self-service functionality is built-in via the MyView portal, so staff can log-in to change their personal details, view payslips, request annual leave and report absences.

The Zellis User Summit 2022 brought together hundreds of HR and Payroll practitioners. At the annual conference, Ian Hodson, Head of Reward at The University of Lincoln, shared his insights into how Zellis has made a substantial difference to their organisation.

The future of payroll is a subject close to Ian’s heart who views Payroll, Rewards and Financial Services as points along the Financial Wellbeing spectrum.

“I’d really like to see payroll rebrand themselves into reward and be seen as how they can help organisations meet the needs and provide financial education, provide financial services and products that are going to help people save out in the workplace.” Ian Hodson, Head of Reward, University of Lincoln.
